Welcome Little One

A dear friend was just blessed with a new little granddaughter named Halle Mae, so I thought I'd whip her up a card.  She lives in California, so this will be a hand cancelled post.  The paper is October Afternoon, the carriage is a Cricut cut.  That bow is out of  some of my hoarded silk ribbon.  There's some Martha Stewart lace in there and some Kaisercraft pearls.  I used dimensionals on the scalloped circle and again on the buggy.  I cheated with an SRM sticker.  Anyway, fun card to make.  I surely hope a black baby carriage doesn't call to mind Rosemary's Baby.  Eeeeeeek!  I can't stop loving the contrast of black and just about any other color.  Happy Friday everyone!

Hugs,
Kathy

  1. I think the pink, black, and white always make such striking cards. It's a very hot combo. Just ask my daughter. LOL. The carriage is just adorable Kathy. Hugs!

  2. I think the color/style has a touch of Victorian elegance. And I know what you mean about the silk ribbon. I have some that I'm hoarding too, lol.

  3. definitely NO rosemary's baby vibe AT ALL! in fact, a totally brilliant use of the silhouette... so striking and beautiful!
