For months I have been promising to catch up on my grandkids' birthday layouts--they each have a Birthday Scrapbook at Grandma's they love to look at every time they visit. At last, I'm almost totally caught up. I'm missing one layout each for both of them. I especially like the way Rowan's 7th birthday spread turned out--the zombie one. So here they are. Warning: Graphic heavy (and if you like to see detail, click on image). I have more cards to post soon. Hugs and a Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! xoxo Kathy
I realized that I never posted one of my all time favorite cards here. I made it in 2013 for my granddaughter Lily's 7th birthday. Her birthday party was at a local aquarium, and her current passion was the ocean and all its creatures. I used the accordian style card with tropical fish images found on the internet and "floated" them on strips of clear acrylic. It turned out pretty fun. The mermaid image is one of Mo Manning's.
The second card is a trifold shutter card made for a family member who is courageously battling cancer. The third is just a little "be happy" card (I made six of them) to have on hand. Click on the images; they look SO much better that way.
Quickie Halloween Post...simple but fun cards. I saw the pearly spider on a fancy nail instagram post and thought, hey--that would work on a card. I embossed some black cs with my cobweb embossing folder and dug out my bling collection. I used my go to white Sharpie for the spider legs. The other googlie eye card I've seen a dozen places so no idea who to give credit to. Happy Halloween!
