Do you think he'll forgive me this one flower on his guy card? How bout if I explain that it IS a flower created with genuine Tim Holtz tissue tape, would that atone for it a bit? I'll let y'all know.
Hope you're all having a terrific weekend. Shout out to some great California friends who are enjoying a weekend long crop at our favorite B&B in lovely old Folsom. Sure wish I was there with you.
Hugs,
Kathy

Kathy, this is a wonderful guy card and I think the flower looks great. It is very hard for me to create two kinds of cards: a guy card and one to convey sympathy. Love your card.

Gorgeous card!!! Thanks for playing along with us at Drunken Stampers!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous! I love the black with the browns. I think the flower is great, even for a guy card.
ReplyDeletecoupla things:
ReplyDelete1. i don't think it IS too vertical... especially as you've cleverly used a horizontal stripe on the main panel & it totally balances!
2. it's not a "flower"... it's a MEDALLION!!!!!!!!!!!!! (work with me, WORK with me!!!) :) :) :)
2a. i noticed right away that it was made from tissue tape and now i HAVE TO KNOW how to do that... is there a tutorial?! (whatammi sayin'... it's a TH product... OF COURSE there is!!!) :)
3. (which i probably should've said first) agree wholeheartedly with the "fault overlooking" going both ways... in my case it's WAAAAY more to my benefit!!!
4. guy cards are empirically *HARDER* to make than girl ones. FACT!!!
5. you've done amazingly, awesomely, envy-inspiringly well with this one, missus!!!!! ♥♥♥!
